New Research Sheds Light on the Role of Manganese in Tumor Suppressor Gene

Hazelnuts are one of the few top scores in manganese.
Other decent options include pecans, pumpkin seeds, mussels
....and let's not forget raw cocoa or dark chocolate.
A super decadent manganese-rich spread can be made
from raw honey, hazelnuts and dark chocolate that I'll be posting soon,
so stay tuned cos it's finger-licking good stuff!
A study on the powerful antioxidant manganese superoxide dismutase shows that this antioxidant is controlled by a gene - the so-called p53 gene - that actually switches on or off, depending on the stage of cancer - it turns off in early tumor growth and turns on in late stages of cancer.

The Nutrition Doctor uses a medicinal nutritional approach based on the science of nutrigenomics to starve off cancer cells - it is imperative to understand that different types of cancer actually thrive on different nutrients! Certain aminos and vitamins, otherwise thought healthy, can be deadly for certain types of cancer patients. Only if you understand the nutrient requirements for various cancers can you develop a successful cancer fighting program by depriving the cancer cells of fuel and shutting off gene expression.
