What makes something right.
What allows you to do what you do. Who do you walk on to get the things you want? Who do you hurt on your way? Do you know? Did you once stop and look back in your tracks?
Or do you prefer, like most of us do, to keep your blindfolds on and avoid keeping score of the death count that belongs to only you.
If everything worth having has a price...
What price did you pay to get where you are at. What things did you miss out on. If you could, would you erase and rewind. Would you take it back?
Or do you believe in no regrets.
No regrets as in everything happens for a reason (...). But what reason? And who decides destiny? Are we not our own carpenters and designers of life. I think we are. And whether one believes in God matters not, because we have been granted free will, and thus we must take action to walk the path that is carved out. Otherwise, we will be left in the dust while others walk on by.
The whispers in the dark.
After the sun sets.
Promises of what could have been. If only x, y and <insert your zillion reasons here>.
We all have our reasons to justify our actions, feelings and why we live our lives like turtles; crawling into our shell when we get scared by life and shy away from human affection.
Does it really matter why we do what we do?
Yes, I know. Your mom never loved you enough, your dad never kept in touch, and so the story goes.
No one really cares about your sorry story. That is the truth.
And the truth is you don't really want others' sympathy. Empathy yes, but sympathy is poison: It justifies your many reasons to stay in your comfort zone, walking in circles... leading nowhere.
The Challenge.
In the end if we risk nothing, then what did we gain if everything worth having comes at a price... and what we have came at no price, then it is.. worthless, is it not.
Join me in my commitment to dare. More.
Only you know, what you need to do to take the next step.
The next step to become that person you want to be.
The next step to get where you want to be in life.
And yes. You. Are. Scared. I know. Everyone is. If we weren't scared there would be no courage. Because courage comes from overcoming your fears. Just like strength comes from weakness. Those who are strongest also have the greatest weaknesses. In that way life is very fair in dealing the cards.
And when risking solid ground, don't forget that whatever happens can never be as life debilitating as risking nothing.
Risking nothing inevitably leads you nowhere with exactly that: Nothing and no one in nowhereland.
And that is a place no one wants to be. So grab a ticket and choose your destination. GO!
